The Name "Ötscher"

Ötscher - Named after an Austrian mountain

Ötscher Berufskleidung is an Austrian company with the high-level goal of being a manufacturer or brand articles for all working people based on the qualities found in nature.

In 1947 the family Götzl founded the clothing company NÖG (Niederösterreichische Großhandels GmbH) in a small wooden shack close to the Austrian town of Amstetten. From the shack one could enjoy a sensational view of the mountain Ötscher. It was this view of the majestic mountain that inspired the founders to change their company name so that in 1953 NÖG was renamed to "Ötscher Berufsbekleidungsindustrie GmbH".
